Taking the SAT for the first time?

I'm a junior in high school. I'm thinking of taking it March, June, and fall of my senior year. However, I've heard that you shouldn't take the SAT more than two times. I haven't started preparing yet, but I got 198 on my most recent PSAT. Do you recommend taking it in March or June for the first time? How do you recommend preparing?
