How can I safely & naturally deter over 20 pigeons from a place they have called home for 5+ years?

Get a wooden or plastic owl to put up and scare them, play a recording of owl hooting/screeching at night. Try some spike strips like you see around grocery stores and such. Call a nearby SPCA or animal rehab/shelter and ask for humane removal suggestions.
